Hi,

I have got admission to the Masters in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
I have completed my under graduation in Electronics and Communication Engineering and am working currently as a software Engineer in the Telecommunications domain.
And have applied for a study permit on August 18th.
On November 10th I got a rejection letter saying the below reason.
"I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit."
Can you please advise on how to address this and reapply for the student visa.

Thanks in advance.

Order GCMS notes as purpose of visit can mean anything - funds, where you live, ties to country etc.

Okay thanks, I will order GCMS.
just one more doubt, I have worked for 2 years in UK and returned back to my country.
Could my previous travel also be a reason for rejection?
No having travel history to countries like the UK and returning home is a positive sign. Do you live in your home country now?

I am 27 years old. I paid $16000 CAD and paid GIC of $10000 CAD (kept receipt for both) I also kept a bank statement of approximately $8500 CAD.
Along with an affidavit of support signed by my father confirming that he will support my education and pay the complete fees of $41000 CAD for 2 years.
I got into the University of Windsor.

Your own funds are low so that may be an issue since you are 27.

Your refusal is because of your purpose of visit. Meaning your are not a genuine student. Are you trying to use a study permit to immigrate permanently to Canada?

First, request for GCMS to know the exact refusal reason and notes from the visa officer that refused your application. Most of the time, if the refusal is based on the purpose of visit, you need to elaborate on your reason for studying in Canada, your future plan after completing your program. Try to watch this video, it is a comprehensive guide in writing a study plan. Goodluck with your reapplication.
