Hi

I apply from Lebanon for visa to Canada (40 days) on June 21 decision for refusal come June 29. Reasons are purpose of visit and personal assets and financial status.
I submitted:

1. Invitation letter from cousin - he provide accommodation and mention he will take me to British Columbia, Rockies
2. Employment letter - authorizing 40 days leave
3. Bank statement - I deposit cash $4000 on June 6 from my saving because we don't have direct deposit here in my small village. Total amount is $9000 US dollar

I want to apply again, lawyer in Canada tell my cousin I have to wait 6 month before applying again is it true?

What new document I need to provide to help? If I book a tour package to Western Canada is it better than letter from my cousin? Do I need new letter from employer or new invitation letter?

Thank you

Yes and no. You could apply tomorrow if the previous reasons for rejection were overcome.

It's too long. This is your first visit to Canada? Ask for 3 weeks maximum. Do you have a family in Lebanon, a wife, kids? have you been in any other developed countries like UK , Germany, US?
Invitation letter from cousin - he provide accommodation and mention he will take me to British Columbia, Rockies
Where do you cousin live? In British Columbia? in Alberta? Only Rockies during 40 days of vacation? Did he provide proof to VO that he is able to support you during your visit? What did he say about what you are going to do BESIDES that trip to Rockies? (visit other relatives? Go to museum, zoo :), gardens?)
Bank statement - I deposit cash $4000 on June 6 from my saving because we don't have direct deposit here in my small village. Total amount is $9000 US dollar
You should show VO how you got those money : bank statement showing how those money ($4000 + 5000) were saved (?).

Also, how did you cousin get to Canada? Did not HE have any problems with CIC? Did he come to Lebanon to visit you?

It is my first visit. I don't take vacation outside of Lebanon before. My cousin lives in Alberta but he said he will take me and show me places and visit extended family as well. My cousin is Canadian citizen born and raised and he owns and manages his own contracting company.

Can I get letter from employer confirming I get paid in cash so I keep saving until I have a large amount to deposit in my bank or should I wait a few months and manually deposit my income month by month to show consistency?

Like you were keeping all your cash at home and deposited it only before
applying to VO?

Yes, this is the best thing to do. And then you could mention cash saved.

So, you cousin should show his income. And describe in his letter of invitation the itinerary of you visit.
Also, 40 day is too long keeping in mind your cousin is an owner of a construction company. ;)

Has he visited you in Libation?

You see, VO is suspicious if you never been in any developed country, your cousin visited Lebanon 15 years ago, you never traveled outside of Lebanon, and suddenly you would like to go to CANADA for a long visit to a cousin you have not seen forever.

Yes, I know it is odd but in small villages outside of Beirut it is not common to have a bank account. I am still getting used to it. :)

Yes he has visited me in Lebanon the last time was 3 years ago but he lived here for 6 years a long time ago.

If I apply in a few months, do I need a new letter from employer authorizing the short leave?

I suppose. And you should go for 3 weeks maximum. with a detailed itinerary. Maybe even his wife should mention that she will take a vacation to show you around if you cousin could not leave his business.
Trip to Rockies - is one day trip from almost anywhere in Alberta. OK, 2 days. And what you were supposed to do another 38-39 days in Canada? Watch TV? :D

I understand.

Thank you Regina. So if he gives detailed itinerary (in a new letter) it will help for purpose of visit? For financial status I understand because of large sum of money before applying right?

Yes, VO would like to see who you got that amount of money. That it is really yours and not just borrowed.

And you are forgetting about shortening of your trip to 3 weeks instead of 6..

No, you do not "go alone".

What I meant by itinerary- it is your cousin's description what he would like to to do in Canada, what to show to you in place where he lives, to introduce you to his friends, maybe to have a BBQ with neighbours, trip to Rockies- Banff -Jasper, 1-2-3 days? Calgary (for example) : what to see in Calgary.

I see but I only have to address the reasons of refusal, only the two I mentioned. I chose Canada because I have extended family and they can offer me accommodation and show me around.
