dear friends, my application was refused with a letter and police clearance letter was the only one which was crossed on it. the visa office said I can reapply. but I am extremely sad. Is there a chance to get the visa this time if I can submit PCC from the country I have stayed. I have stayed in 4 differently countries more than 6 months respectively and I couldn't get one country's PCC. so, I just submitted with the rest PCC and I was rejected. Any comment please. and Do I have to do the medical test and the biometric again to submit new application? Pleas I do need help. :(

There are two options to get PCC from India
1. Local Police station: Go to the dcp office of ur area, give 250 rupees and u will get the PCC within a week and if u push them, they might provide you within 3 -4 days!!
2. Pasport office: Go to Pasport seva kendra at ITO and fill in a form ( available online) and deposit 500 rupees. U will get the pcc within a week!!

So you have time!!
Goodluck!

Thank you for your help. But I am currently in Korea and I am myanmar national. Besides, I do not have anyone in India to help me get PCC. I went to Osmania University, Hyderabad. How do I apply PCC online and how do I pay the money? Actually, I don't have much time left. I have to start in Sept, 2014 and if i apply from Korea, the processing time is 12 weeks. Your answer is a great help. Please!

I have a very similar case as yours where I am also required to furnish 4 PCC's. I just submitted 3 and waiting for the Singapore one to arrive. If you are in Korea, might I suggest you contact the Indian Embassy in South Korea and request a Police Clearance. I am not sure how long it might take but you might wanna give that a try.

How did you submit your application? Was it online or paper based? I was also wondering what exactly did you say when you "did not submit the Indian PCC"? DId you give a reason for not submitting?

Thanks a lot for your suggestion. I have tried already. I went there and asked but they said they are not responsible for foreign national. They can give only to indian nationals. That's why I submitted only 3 and was refused. The indian embassy in Korea said I can get the letter from my university that I did not commit any crimes and then they said they can put their stamp on that. But I am not sure, it is similar to that of PCC india. :(

I didn't say anything in my cover letter since one of my friends (iranian national got visa from turkey without Indian PCC without saying anything). So I thought it might be ok with me as well. But it wasn't. I applied online and it took only two weeks to get refused. :(

I read somewhere that if you give a valid justification for not providing a document, the Canadian Embassy sometimes understands and relents. I am just wondering if you should have given them the same reasoning. I am really sorry about your situation but the only thing that seems plausible is for you to get that letter from your University and get it attested by the Indian Embassy. The other option might be to goto India and collect it yourself but that's an outrageous and expensive affair.

Yes, that's what I was wondering too. They normally ask the required document first then if the applicant can't provide, the application can be refused. but it was so fast. So, what you think know is if the applicant provides reasonable fact for not providing the required documents then, visa can still be approved? and how about the bank statement, do i have to prepare again to reapply? because the bank statement I have prepared will be more than one month when I reapply the study permit. And about the medical test and biometric? Do you think I have to do all over again? thanks for your help.

I read on a couple of other forums that a guy was refused PCC from Singapore and he attached the same email with his application. As far as I can recall, his visa was approved but I think it was for a PR. But I would advise you to fish around for answers as this is all hearsay. You should ask other forum members of what their experience is. If I were you, I would get the letter from Osmania Uni and get it attested by the Indian embassy. If you had an exchange of email with the Indian embassy in Seoul where they refused to provide you with a PCC, I'd attach that email as a justification too.

I am not really sure about your Bank statements. I guess it would be best to provide updated statements to cover your tracks. Unless, you have your statements in korean which needs translation first, it shouldn't be that difficult, right?
