visa process

dear expert,

i am applying in canada right now and i was a little bit worried about visa application bcoz i was refused in my apply in us embassy 7 yrs ago due to lacking of documents,the embassy gave me 1 yr to fix all but since my child father didnt cooperate with the documents we need i coudnt make it there,no my question is if it can affect my apply in canada?do u think they will approve my visa?
