VISA PROBLEM. I NEED HELPP!!! Please help me!

Hi Friends,

I'm from Noida. I'm 18 years old, I passed 12th (Non-Medical) with 63.4% in 2010 & 10th with 66% in 2008. I was goin for Graphic Designing course(3 years Advanced Diploma) in Fanshawe college this Sept intake. I applied for visa (SPP) on 1st August & unfortunately my visa got rejected on 10th August. The reason they gave was "STUDY MISMATCH". I was a genuine student and still they rejected my Visa . Now, due to the sudden demise of my father on 17th August i took admission in an engg. college here in India. But I still want to go to canada so i'm thinking to try my luck again & reapply for JAN 2012 Intake but i have some doubts..

1) Will the death of my father affect my chances of getting the visa?
2) Which course will be the best for me to choose to get 100% visa success?
3) For Sept Intake i had only 1 year gap but for Jan 2012 intake i will be having 1.5 years Gap, will this gap negatively affect my chances of getting visa?
4) Should i go for a University this time?
5) I want to hire a good agent this time, so Please Suggest Which is the best agent in new delhi or NCR region?


I had the following subjects (Marks included) in 12th..
Maths - 39
Physics - 51
Chemistry - 66
English - 47
Commercial Arts - 79
Physical Education - 71

My IELTS Score is..
OVERALL - 6.0
Listening - 7.0
Reading - 5.5
Writing - 6.5
Speaking - 5.5

2. None, there is nothing called 100% visa success otherwise half of India would be living here

4. Yes you can depends on what the requirements of the University are, you have to get an admission letter from University first
5. I don't know any good agents, all of them look like crooks to me, promise you the world and give you a banana. Read through the CIC website and apply by yourself.

Hey Newtone thank you so much for the reply but how can u say that 1.5 years Gap, will not affect my chances of getting visa? coz i have heard gap is not considered good

Not really, while students its understood that for various reasons people may have gaps in education, medical, family problems, economic situation, it happens here all the time. So its easier for Canadians to understand that problem. More importantly you have to show you have completed your education you are serious about it and make sure the degree you plan to do in university has some relation to what you studied in school

okay thanks ..one last question.. i applied for graphic design course for fall intake..but now i want to apply for soft/computer engg diploma..
will they create any problem now coz i'm changing my field now for JAN intake which is not related to graphic design??..i mean that the VO will think i'm changing my course just because i want the VISA.. what do u think ?

As I said earlier as long as the degree you are taking matches with courses you've taken in high school you should be okay.
Example: if you are a science major in school and you plan to do a degree in computer science at University
