Visa Overstay

Hi,

I lived in Colombia for a few 5 months after which I tried to convert my visa (which was a volunteer visa) to a work visa but in the end I couldn't do it and I ended up overstaying my visa by a few months. Therefore I was legally there (with a valid visa) for 5 months but overstayed by about 3 months after which I returned home. Will I need to provide a police clearance certificate for the time I spent there?

I would be grateful for any suggestions from someone with similar experience or who knows about these things.

your entry and exit will prove over six months of stay ...your overstaying won't be of concern to cic ...get a pcc from Colombia and what they're going to write will be of concern to cic ..if they don't give any negative mentions you are okay ...but pcc, must

did you overstay in Colombia?
Yes you need police clearance certificate because you stayed more than 6 months in Colombia.
sometimes immigration ask for those who has stayed more than 4-5 months also.
