Dear seniors,

Am a temporary foreign worker on a post grad work permit. I am exploring visa options for my wife to come join me in Canada. One of the options that come to my mind is to come to Canada as a visitor. However, that would allow my wife to stay with me for only a few months (and then leave Canada) whereas I would prefer that my wife stays with me for the entire duration of my work permit.

Could you advise what options are available for my wife to come to Canada? Thanks a lot.

Note: my wife is a dependent in my application for permanent residency.

Being you are the holder of a Post-Graduation Work Permit, which is a type of open work permit, your spouse will need to attach a copy of your work permit to her application for an open work permit. Your spouse will also need to provide information about your employment by attaching supporting documents, including:

A letter from your current employer confirming employment or a copy of your employment offer or contract;

AND

A copy of one of your pay slips

I am also on PSWP and have not applied for PR yet. My wife's got rejected once for TRV visa. The officer was not satisfied that my wife would return after the temporary timeline.
Do you think of any suggestion for my situation?
You think PNP would help us for a stronger visitor application?

Thanks for your comments in advance.

Being nominated by a PNP, from what I have heard, immigration should no longer consider risk of overstay so it may help.
