Visa on Hold

Hi,

I have applied for Canadian Work permit/Visa in Chennai, India on 18th Aug. Today when i checked my status I am able to see following status.

"Passport has been dispatched through Courier vide Airway Bill #: on . You can also track your passport Status by visiting the website: www.bluedart.com. Incase of Hold Passport: Your Passport has been held on Request at OC Delhi OC."

Earlier I have applied for the Canadian Visa in LA and there the Officer has asked me to undergo medical examination. As I was on L1 visa in US at that time and had already resigned from my previous employer I could not stay there for my medical examination. I came back to chennai and first withdrawn my application from LA & then freshly applied with out medical examination. I have applied for the visa for 5 months. I have an offer in Canada.

I am not able to understand the status. Is it on hold? What is OC Delhi?

dear direndharadas, hope u r in to IT field. how did u manage to get an offer in a company in canada when u dont have any valid status in canada? plz. reply. rgds, George

Yeah I am in the IT field. I have around 4.5 years Exp. The company in which i am working has a subsidiary in Canada. I got offer from them. It's sort of Intra company transfer.

The passport will be sent to VFS office instead of sending directly to the applicant. OC is Officer In-Charge.

You can also track your passport Status by visiting the website: bluedart.com click on Ref No. and enter your passport number and you can get your Tracking Details / Waybill Number.

Hold means PP will not be dispatched at your address, the address may be unserviceable by Blue Dart. You will have to collect from VFS.

hi,

I would like to know that we submitted our medical to CHC new delhi in july 2013 but original passport we didn't submit through vfs since I am working in Dubai

we requested to inform us to submit our original passport during the visa stamping now more than 2 months no reply from CHC new delhi.

please advise and how about your present status...
