Dear all,

I applied for work permit on 11 may 2021. Did medical and biometric also. I applied online on IRCC website. How I will know about my visa office? So I can enquire my status as it is still showing

Guys. I applied for WP on 11 May 2021. Since that time my background status is : we are processing your Background check. We will message you if need more information.

What it mean? My Background status checking started or not as since 12 may 2021 I am seeing this status and it is not changed

Well it clearly says they are processing your background check... It also says they will contact you if they need more information...

Thank you for reply. But my concern is it is appearing from day 1st I applied and did not changed that's why I am worried.

Ah I see now, I didn't understand that before. Maybe give them a call thats all I can suggest.

WP files from India are on hold, they are not even seeing the files, be ready to wait for almost a year until you see even a slight change. They don't even care seeing the files. The screen you are seeing is a default screen

People who have applied in May 2020 and some who applied even in 2019 have got same updates in their profiles since that time.

I have seen few cases on this forum, where LMIA GSS based WP got approved in Dec-20 to Jan-21 time frame. Also know of first hand cases of ICT WP getting approvals. They are deprioritizing LMIA based processing from India, don't know the reason when the steps involved are same as ICT and are charging higher processing fees. Anyone with GCMS got any updates on their profile.

Thank dear for the reply. I applied online on 11 may 2021. Got biometric on 12 may 2021 and medical passed on 1 June 2021. Let c what they will do. I have to join by 1 Sept 2021. I have LMIA exemption and submitted that document while applying online. Let's hope for the best.

I tried to call IRCC many times today but I couldnot connect to operator to speak. Only computer generated msg was played and then disconnected. What is the best time to call IRCC?

Friends I called IRCC today. The officer said that my Visa office is Abu Dhabi. And nothing else. He said raise a webform and Abu Dhabi staff will respond back to you.

Kindly suggest how can I contact Abu Dhabi office?

Your application is consider fresh compared to us who are waiting for 7 months or more so my advice is be patient..
