Visa office mentioned in Generic im0008e

Dear Member,
I for got to mentioned Visa office Name in imm0008egen for Permanent Application Form. My lawyer has also not given attention towards it and leave it blank and send to NS Sydney. It is already 87 days gone and no message is from them or nor my dd got encashed till now. My lawyer is saying it is not the matter of worry. But I am very confused that my lawyer is not giving any attention and he does not take these mistake as serious?

Kindly suggest as its 2nd time I have sent my application to NS Sydney. What effect would come for above not completion of Visa office column?

sorry to tell u that....but I read in some threads that CIO will send ur application back..........
u must write the vize office u belong to.........

Sorry to say that, but he is a lier not lawyer. leaving the blank provided for the visa office required to process your application empty will result of sending back your entire package "unprocessed", with an explanation letter advise you to fix that mistake and re send the application.

I cannot believe how come he is an immigration lawyer and unable to fill the forms properly, even if it was by mistake, he should have admitted his fault and told you that they will send the entire package back "unprocessed" rather than hiding the truth.

If he really does not know that little information, how is he going to deal with the processing of your application in the future with the visa office, and why does he get paid all of that money !!!


I am saying that because this little mistake is going to cost you almost 6 months delay in your application. Your entire package will be sent back after holding it in the CIO for almost 3 months (count the mailing time of your application back and forth), and you will have to re send it by mail again and it will take almost another 3 months at the CIO to process it and send you the letter,whereas some visa offices finalize the applications within 6 months unfortunatly you will be stuck only with the CIO for a long time because of your lawyer mistake.

All of that might take 6 months or more just to get the approval from the CIO because of that stupid mistake made by your lawyer.

I recommend that you change your lawyer and do it yourself or find a professional lawyer.

sorry to say but your application will be returned i think. because one of my friend (FSW 3) sent his application in september'09 writing visa office name as "Canada" which should be Buffalo in his case, after 2months CIO,NS returned the app asking him to change visa office (simply in their words: "visa office name is wrong, correct it and re-send the app")

I too agree with Professional1 about his suggestion and opinion about your lawyer.
I did read several times about the Immigration Lawyers in this Forum, who are just ...... and not really doing their job perfect and not at all reliable. Any how, keep in touch with this discussion forum so that you can get more ideas and knowledge.
