Today I received the golden email requesting the passport for final review February 28, 2018

My additional documents status changed from "the additional documents you provided have been uploaded " to "we do not need additional documents". Hopefully a positive sign. Do you have any idea? Is this a sign of starting soon the BCG ? Thanks

any applicant from 2016 with Visa office Rome please? The last communication I recieved from visa office Rome says that my file is for initial review, anyone knows how long it can take please?

Unfortunately there is no update since the was transferred to Rome at the end of September 2017!!
I emailed the Rome office earlier this month and they told me that my application is in queue for initial review.
We just have to be more patient and hopefully get the visa before the one year average processing time. I applied in May 2017 and I am hoping to get the visa before May 2018!

They can not say the time how long it will take. Please share information once you will receive any update.
