I sent a mail to cic to check the Visa office that is processing my application and I got this as a reply:

Please note that your application is currently at the Centralized Intake Office in Sydney, Nova Scotia and has not yet been transferred to a local visa office.

I would like to know if this is how all the applications are generally processes or is this specific to my case alone? AoR is 9th February and there's no change until now. I have also requested for aN extension to submit FBI pcc. Any inputs on this is highly appreciated.

"Since Express Entry is a new system and not enough applications have been received yet, processing times are not available but we have committed to process the majority of applications in six months or less."

Why would you send a message to them not even two weeks after you received your AOR? Please stop fussing, contacting, calling or otherwise burdening the agents at CIC if your AOR is less than six months. I believe that lengthens the process for yourself and others. I see people with AOR a month or less ordering GCMS notes. Exercise some patience and give those poor CIC agents who are doing a thankless job a break. If you see don't see any movement at the six month mark then start enquiring. Some people had a wait for close to a year. I was anticipating a six month wait according to the website and I didn't start to get impatient after seeing people with PPR in two weeks. I have seen where someone on this forum posted a response from CIC in which it said "keep communications with this office at a very minimum". While there are very legitimate reasons to contact CIC after a recent AOR but enquiring about for eg." what visa office" after a few weeks in is kinda pushing it. I predict a change in policy which will be enacted very soon that will determine and limit the circumstances under which we will be able to contact CIC about recent applications. Again please exercise a little patience.

I am not getting impatient, it is just to make sure I have done everything correct on my part and also to find if there's anything I should still do.
I thought this forum was to help fellow applicants with their doubt and queries and not judge them for their questions.

You are not being judged. I responded to your query in an attempt to have you think about what you did and how it looks. "AoR is 9th February and there's no change until now." Sounds like impatience to me if being impatient had a sound. Like @RokasK said knowing what visa office your case is transferred to is irrelevant. It's like asking your garbage man which landfill your trash will be going to. Just be patient with the slow process and get comfortable with the 6 months.

I have to agree with @clguy here. I know we all want our applications to move fast but clogging CiC mailbox just makes it difficult for other genuine queries. Your answer is in your question itself. You have asked for an extension for FBI pcc , and it is known that till you don't submit your pcc the file will not move to a visa office. So there you go. Maybe research on this forums or ask relevant questions before approaching cic directly, you'll find a lot of answers here itself. All the best .
