I have recently got my passport stamped for canada study visa and booked my flight from Delhi, India to Halifax, Canada. My flight is lufthansa and it has a 2 hours 20 minutes layover in Frankfurt, Germany.

My question is being an Indian citizen do I require any kind of transit visa or something

I have seen on some websites that if I have a valid visa for canada I don't require transit visa

Please clear my doubt thx

You have to check with the airline iif there's a terminal change, this applies wherever you go whenever you travel, if there's a terminal change, you will need a visa if your nationality requires so, if not, then there's nothing to worry about at all since youll be staying inside the airport and you will not pass through the german immigration.
Also a piece of advice, Im guessing that your flight will land in either Toronto or Montreal before going to halifax because I too am going there to SMU. Make sure that your layover in toronto or montreal is atleast 3 hours because immigration process when you enter canada for the first time is usually very long and can take up to 2 hours.
