I applied on 27th March. Still waiting. I even called up the embassy but they refused to update me on that as that is not part of the process. I don't know who to contact to speed up the process

Hi Guys, Applied for the Student Visa on 6th April. The documents reached the embassy on 9th April as per VFS helpline. Still waiting for the visa. When I check the application status on VFS website using the tracking ID, it says,"Your application is being processed at Canada Visa Office - New Delhi". Its been 7 weeks.

Getting restless and worried now. Is anyone in the same boat? Is there any way of checking what stage my application is at? Any help/information would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Has any working professional with 7-8 years of work ex & an offer letter from Canadian University applied for the student visa recently?
Convince VISA OFFICER(VO) that how this course will help in your career goal, you need to show your ties to your country like family/land/job which will assure VO that you will be back after your studies, you need to show that you or your parents can support you financially during your study. Write all this in SOP. All you need is a good SOP to get VISA. Best of luck.

My course is Masters of Management - Logistics & Supply Chain Management. I have mentioned it my SOP that I want to do that course as it will empower me & provide me the skill sets to streamline and expand my family business (manufacturing) in India. Also now that almost all the big MNC's are in India, supply chain is a booming industry. Consequently, the course will give me the springboard to take advantage of the endless new opportunities back home in India after I complete my course.

As for funds, I have the GIC for one year expenses and have paid the initial deposit required by the University to block my seat. Additionally, the bank statement shows sufficient funds and I also have an affidavit of sponsorship for study & Living expenses from my parents.

Lastly, I do not have any gap post my last education in 2010. Been working since them. Cleared my medicals too.

Would all this suffice?
