Visa for PR

Hello!

I have à few questions....

My husband is PR of Canada, we live in Quebec.

We would like to transit by the US while going back to his homeland (Honduras), the tickets are cheaper usually.

I heard of a visa, tourist visa I believe, that is good for 10 years and works eighter you want to visit or transit by the US. Is that an accurate information?

If so, what’s the type of that visa? So I know what type he should apply.

As well, does it take long to get an appointment for the interview?

Don't purchase tickets before getting a visa. Do you speak French. There is a French website. You will need an appointment. There are offices in Montreal and Quebec City.

For the transit Visa (C-1) is the same process as getting the tourist/business Visa (B1/B2).
Get the online application done, pay in the bank, set an appointment at the embassy/consulate, go for interview and they will determine how many years/months they'll give.
