I hold a bachelor and master degree in physiotherapy. Currenly work as a physiotherapist for elderly patients. Now i want to persue a second masters degree in Gerentology(science of aging and age related problems) in university of regina i am planning to apply for 2015 intake and i ll be 29 years of age by that time. My academics and english is good enough to fetch me a admission. And i will finish my 2 years of experiance by then.
I am also having sufficient funds.
I would like to know if there will be a problem with visa as it is my second masters ?age 29?..different area of study?(but kind of related).but i can get a reference from my employer that my experiance is directly related to my choosen feild of study.
Thanks in advance

I have the similar issue. i have done my first masters from uk, but wish to do second from canada in dofferent field. But i have been told by some of the education consultants that it would be difficult to get the study visa even if you get admission. But i dont believe it really coz i have known some guys who have done two masters from usa. May be those consultants were trying dissuade me coz they have tie ups with australian universities and they were trying me to lure into getting admission there rather than in canada. But i wish you all the best and i think you should apply there.

This will not be a problem at all -- getting a second masters degree is normally considered admirable, not a sign of anything bad. I applied while in the process of studying for a second, and had my application approved within 10 months. Your case is particularly not-an-issue since your two subjects relate well to each other.

As for the second poster, I find it VERY hard to believe that if you are admitted and have sufficient funds, anyone will care if your two master degrees are unrelated. Perhaps you might need to explain your purpose a little more.
