Visa Extension

Hi,

I wasn't able to find this info anywhere maybe someone can help. We are applying for PR from outland, and I know you have 6 months to arrive in Canada. Is there a way to extend it if needed? We are on a lease till March 2017 and if we get approved way before then with the 6 months not being enough time, can you extend your visa?

You can ask for an extension, but...I suggest you land before the COPR expiry date and then return back home (even the same, or next day), to `tie up loose ends'.

Not sure where you found the 6 months info, but you will have a finite amount of time to land. It is usually based on the anniversary date of when you had the medical exam.
