Visa extension help!

Hello, I am a Romanian citizen and I am currently married to a Canadian citizen since september 2013 I entered Canada on the 24 of july 2013 my six months will be up in january 24 2014. I will apply for sponsorship, so what should I do? Also my passport will expire in july 2024 so I am going to renew it and get it by the end of december...should I apply with the old passport how does it work? Also can I visit the US on holiday in december and come back to Canada?

I don't think you need to renew your passport which is expiring in July 2024! Unless your case is complicated, the processing should not take over ten years.

I made a mistake sorry it expires in 2014!!!
