Visa extension and work permit question

So I got my study permit extended but when I asked my lawyer for getting visa extended, she said it will be $250.
I have already given her a lot of money. Can someone tell me if it is compulsory to get visa extension if u don’t plan to go out of the country.

My second question is that next semester will be my last semester and I just have to do one course. Will I get PGWP if I just take one course or should I be full time.

1. No you don't need visa extension if you don't intend on traveling outside
2. It is okay for you to be part-time during your final semester (for PGWP purporses)
