visa expired soon, needs to renew it for landing?

hello seniors, I'm within canada and my visa is going to be expired but I'm still waiting for PPR. If my understanding is right, CIC request passport and then stamp on it with a permanent residency and cancelled all those previous ones. Can we use that stamp to do landing, or we have to have a valid visa for landing?

Temporary Resident Visa is for temporary residents to re-enter. You don't need one for landing after your passport is returned with COPR.
 
Yes, you don't need TRV for landing
