visa expired but work permit valid

my visa expires on 6th December 2020 and work permit expires on 21st December 2020.

since my visa get expires on 6th December 2020, do I need to leave Canada by 6th December or can I stay in Canada till my work permit expires(21st December 2020).

this is very much important, please help me to understand with this.

Others can comment as well but your visa (TRV) is your travel visa which allows you to come and go from the country, your work permit is your authorisation to stay in the country so you could stay until your work permit expires. However maybe what you should plan to do is to apply in November to extend your stay as a visitor from the time your work permit expires to give you a bit more time before you plan to leave

thank you for helping me.

so from your post I got to know, even though my visa expires on 6th December, I can stay till 21st December. coz my work permit ends on 21st December. am I correct?

and yes I will apply for extension as visitor visa, if my company allow me to stay after work permit expires
