Visa Deferral

Hello Guys,
I have applied for study permit nearly 40-45 days ago and today I got passport request so as all know, I will get study permit.
But problem is that my university has allowed me to join before 20 January otherwise I ahve to defer my admission to May, 2017 and If I get my visa now , am I able to defere my visa to May,17.

If Anyone know what and how to do in such circumstances, plz help me.

Not sure what you mean by deferring your visa till May 2017, but I had a similar situation in 2013. Got admitted with a start date of sept. 2013, my visa was not ready by the date, school deferred my offer to sept. 2014, got my visa by October 2013, finally travelled by august 2014. (by the way, my study permit was sitting with me all those while and I had no issue whatsoever using it in Aug. 2014) Don't know if this helps.

I got 2 years from the original 2013.(2013 - 2015) they did not extend at the border. I extended when it expired (90 days before it expired)

I got Visa for Jan Intake nd my programme is for 2 years.
And accordinh to you guys, no process required for Visa right now eventhough I have defereed my start date from Jan'17 to May'17.
Right??

Have you spoken to the university again? The deadline is usually given because of refund/transfer deadlines so they might let you join next week since you have gotten your visa for sure and won't require a refund.

Yes. I had sent email to Uni when it started i.e. 5 Jan and they gave me last date for registration 20 Jan. Now it seems next to impossible for me to prepare all stuffs and others as my passport will be in my hand on this Tuesday or Wednesday. So, I think that defering to May'17 would be wise

All in all,
I can extend my study permit before 90 days like u when it required. No peculiar process required right now, if I m going to defer my admission in May'17m

Correct. Just make sure to apply within 90 days of its expiry for an extension and you should be good to go.
