Visa consultancy requirement

Hi Folks,

After getting information about immigration to Canada, I was under impression that consultancy is required to immigrate to Canada.
But, As I browsed through the pages of this forum, it seems that entire application from ECA till getting PR can be done by person himself.

Is it correct?

Will it be better to do application process through consultancy or by myself?

There are consultancies who claimed that they will arrange interviews as per my profile and NOC and assist in finding job in Canada
Ex Morevisas in Pune

I really want to understand what is the current chance of getting a job in Canada in the field of New Product Development (NPI, NPD)?
Broad category: Electronics Engineer.

Have you people got a job through job bank by applying themselves?
Or consultancies have been helpful in getting you a job in Canada? If yes, which one (Specifically in Pune/India)

A consultant is not required to apply for PR in Canada. You can do everything yourself. Most people on this forum have shared very mixed reviews about working with consultancies, especially those operating out of India. If you have the patience and time to do research on this forum and on the CIC website, you can probably do a better job yourself.

I would be very suspicious of overseas consulting companies promising to arrange interviews for you. Often, they promise this to get your business, in some cases it is an outright scam. The vast majority do not deliver. Getting a job offer without being physically present in Canada is almost impossible. The rare exception is if you are in a very specialized field, but in this case you would be head hunted and wouldn't go through a visa consultancy.

I have no idea about job prospects in your field. Research job boards in Canada and gauge your chances there.

Job bank is pretty much useless when it comes to finding a job.

Dear friend,

Thanks for sharing your opinion & reality.
The consultant, I was in discussion with, explained me with so much confidence that my application will be picked by prospective employer from job bank. But like you said, it is almost impossible to get a job from here.




Anybody who have idea about getting a job in the field of New product development (NPI / NPD) in Canada?

Also feedback from Indian friends who have/haven't got a job through consultancy will be helpful.

They are just conning you.. dont get involved with a consultant. they will just take your money and will delay your appl.ication..

Read this forum and apply yourself.. its easy and help is readily available.. Save money. Dont use a consultant.

No consultancies please, you can PM me anytime, I promise you to help u as much as i can but pl dont waste money on consultant frauds.....if u r an outland applicant u can probable buy a business class airticket to canada or give money to charity instead of giving to those fraud consultants.
