Visa Chances

I applied for a Visa on the 6th of June there has been dead silence should i be worried my Visa status just states open. I acquired a degree in BMIS and worked in the medical field postgrad and decided i found my calling in the medical field and applied for nursing school and got a place. The fact that i have worked in the field will it improve my chances of getting a VISA.

I applied for pg diploma in construction project management in fanshawe college..I paid my tuition fee and also paid for GIC.. My academic profile
10th standard- 74%
12th standard-84%
B. E civil engineering-7.64cgpa without any backlogs
Ielts overall 6 listening 6 reading 6 speaking 6 writing 5.5
Is my IELTS score affect visa chances.?

Check on CIC website for average processing times in your country. Most applications process under that time, but you should wait a week or two ahead of processing time and then contact CIC somehow.
