Hello everyone

I have completed MSc in biotechnology and have 1 year related experience.
My agent has applied for 2 years diploma in chemistry lab technician course at Seneca college because this is the only course somewhat related to my profession.
Please tell me my visa chances and also suggest me how to prepare accordingly like should I include an SOP while applying for visa so that they can understand why I am applying for diploma course after already having a master credentials.

Thanks in advance

No way. It does not matter that it is in relation to your profession.
There is no any explanation why you want to get technician diploma in Canada after getting masters . And if there is then "why not at home?"

You may get visa. But it is very risky. You are applying for studies which is lower grade(Level) than your previous studies.

Do u mean I cannot get the visa if I apply for a diploma?

hii..as you have already done msc...its better if not go with diploma....i did the same mistake and my visa was rejected...
consultant get commission from collages ...and for their profit they ruin student's chances:(

check your study options again.

u should ideally go for masters or Phd or at the least u should apply for PG diploma . diploma is not ur logical progression of studies. Agents force u to take up a course which gives them the most commission, the course may not be good for ur career or ur visa. dont blindly believe ur agents they get paid by the college to get them students.

the agent gave me an option for pg diploma in buissness management at lambton college. Do I have any possibilities to get visa on this course with a right SOP.

again dont take ur agents advice blindly(agent gave u some options does not mean those r the only options) .....there may be better courses related to ur past studies and better logical progression of ur studies u just have to look for ur self and not rely on agents.

I prepared an sop where it mentions that I'm looking for a mangerial position in a very good biotech company. Adding to my experience the course buissness management will add up to my skills and explore my opportunities for mangerial positions and huge biotechnology organizations.

Hi I'm so sorry to hear that. Did you try to apply again for a pg diploma?

Adding to my experience the course buissness management will add up to my skills and explore my opportunities for mangerial positions and huge biotechnology organizations.
You can try but I do not believe it will work. Usually you FIRST get to work into a good and big company, work there for awhile THEN go for managerial education. You are not working and did not not work in that desirable company and you are not a manager in another smaller company? Then why do you think " big company" will ever consider you right away for a managerial position with only education but no any experience in management?

I have done masters in biotech from London and I worked for one year in India in my own field. Now I want to apply for a diploma course in chemistry lab technician which is related to assisting the bio technicians . I am actually applying to a course where people who finished that course will assist me in job scenarios.but I have prepared an sop saying that this course will help me get practical training and on site training which will stronger my foundations and explore my opportunities for managerial positions in my field. I have not been into customer interactions in my studies till masters but in this diploma course I will also be study on customer counseling and more importantly practical dealing with customers in real time scenario.

So do u think with such an sop I can file my visa under SPP and get approvals?
Also my consultant asks me to apply for pg diploma in buissness management.HE says pg diploma in buissness is a course anyone can take , any field person.. And you will get visa for this course and if you apply for something related to your field and it's a diploma you will get visa rejected.

Please help me take the right decision.
Thanks in advance.

ur inbox is full so I am copying the message i tried to send u,,

dont listen to ur consultant do as u like, but the problem is diploma after masters is no a very good idea i suggest u to go for masters again, in UK i believe its on year masters u can go masters again in Canada, its very common people do it double MA, double PhD, double diploma, so i suggest masters from a University,
and make a thread about this lets see what other people say ok, good luck

Probably because he/she sent this to just about everyone.

I don't get the whole agent thing that most here are on about. If you believe you are smart enough to go to college and your english is good enough, then why use an agent? Read what it says on CIC, use google, use the search function on here and if you still have more questions, ASK.

And to answer (as the inbox is full and I can't answer the PM).

I didn't use an agent.
I applied to a three year advanced diploma to something that related to my work history.
I did not have to provide IELTS.
I had a 30 year gap in studies.

I was accepted to my program and later received a study permit. I'm in my second semester now.
