Visa Category For Spouse Open Workpermit

Hi All,

I am in ICT and initiated open work permit for my wife when she was in Canada. After travelling back to India, her work permit was approved and hence we processed the Visa Stamping for her with open work permit copy submitted. [Visa processing was done as her visa was expired]. On getting the visa stamped on her passport, I observed it to be Category V-1 (Visitor). Would this be the category for dependent spouse having open work permit?

In my case, the category was W-1 Worker for the spouse open work permit.

Hi,

Did you process the visa stamping in India? Also do I have to again apply for visa stamping to get worker visa before her travel? Right now she has a valid work permit, but a visitor visa.

It doesn't matter what category the TRV is as long as it's valid.
