Visa Arrived!

My Visa arrived this morning in the post.
Just thought I would share my timeline with you.

Submitted Application - March 04 (London, England)
Acknowledged - June 04
Medicals - Jan 06
Passport Request - March 06
Visa Received - April 06

For some reason it seems ive got kinda lucky with the speed of my application.
But it just goes to show that you shouldnt give up hope.....as I did just before christmas.

I'd like to say that I have found this site very helpfull too as it answered alot of questions you feel stupid to ask.

I applied as a skilled worker and have a decent-ish job (think its only like level 2 on the NOC thing) Bout 3 years exp I had at the time of applying.

Have relatives there but thats all just a points thing.

I have to say I spent ages doin my application!
I put everything you could think of in there (only relevant things though)
I did a family tree showing my relationship to my canadian relative.
Put a description/explanation before each section of info I submitted.
I had docs from Canada from 1970's that were faint so I put two copies in where I wrote over the other to make it bold.

I just tried to cover every base.

Then again I may be just lucky.....who knows.

Just goes to show though it may not take as long as processing times say.

Pour une raison quelconque, il semble que je suis un peu chanceux avec la rapidité de mon application.
Mais cela montre que vous ne devriez pas perdre espoir ... comme je l’ai fait juste avant Noël.

J'aimerais dire que j'ai trouvé ce site très utile aussi, car il répondait à beaucoup de questions que vous vous sentez stupide de poser.
