I dont think I selected transit,so should I cancel the application, or do another one?

You are right, I have a Work Permit and I need a multiple entry visa to come back to Canada. The thing is that I`m from a country that is not visa-exempt to enter Canada, therefore I need a multiple entry visa to come back, my work permit does not allow re-entry (it is even written down on your work permit)

My visa was processed within one week

U have to clear which WP u have ? is it open work permit or extended work permit without worker visa stamp on ur passport. If its without work permit stamp on your passport and you have only WP page then you have to apply for Work permit Visa which we get when we apply WP for first time.

Mind it if you have visitor Visa along with WP (no worker visa stamp) then u might have difficulties in coming back. As u would be having Visa as visitor and WP and purpose of visit becomes tough.We need visa to enter and then to enter we need purpose. So ur purpose is to work and visa to visit. travelling from Canada to USA and coming back is different story dont take as ur traveling to other countries.

I still haven't heard from them, and I sent it off October 2nd.I also re-did the application and chose transit, 48 hrs and then it gave me a different application to apply for TRV OUTSIDE of Canada, so I dont think choosing Transit correct.(I also chose NO, to the question "do you need a visa to the country to want to transit to, after Canada)

I have uploaded my WP , It still says my TRV status is preserved, not sure what that means, would I still need a visa?
