Hello,
Could you please advise what I should do?

My parents had 4 yr multiple entry visa to Canada. The second time they visited, they returned after 191 days (more than 180 days).
They left voluntarily. Were not issued a removal or deportation order?

In the new 2014 visa application form Question # 8, have u lived in any country for more than 6 months?
What should we say?

Also, in background information, Q2, Have u remained beyond the validity of your status? What should we do? Should we say NO.
Will CIC know about the exit date?

If, we say YES, would we still be able to get a visa?

Advise is appreciated. Thanks

You need to be truthful to both question.

There is still some chance they will get a visa if they are truthful. If they lie, then can expect a finding of misrepresentation, a 2 year ban from Canada, and can probably forget about ever being granted a visa again.

Their only option is to be truthful and hope for the best.

Thank you,
I think we will be truthful in our application and explain circumstances.
