I and my spouse at present are not staying in Canada, though we are PR's for the past two years. We have intended to return by next year permanently. My question is if my spouse has to deliver a child outside Canada before our return permanently to Canada, what is the procedure and the legal aspects I have to take into account for the new born child's visa and permanent status.
Please urgently help me in this matter.
Regards to all
For your information I do not have any residential place in Canada.

1. ONe of you will have to return to Canada to sponsor the child.
2. If the child is from a visa exempt country, you could try to bring the child into Canada as a visitor and sponsor under Humanitarian and Compassionate grounds.

Well since I am sponsoring my child who was born in India, I can give a friendly advice try to have delivery in Canada. If not possible then you have following options.

1. Someone should come to Canada to sponsor him/her. If you can have your better half away from you for more than 6 months...
2. Sometimes you get a visitor visa for your baby and they can accompany you and then you can sponsor. But maximum chances they will reject the TRV application of not made properly. Mine was rejected once.

Since you have not stayed for 2 years in Canada, make sure if you go with option 1 you have sufficient time to save your PR status.
