most of the members in this forum suggest to move before 15 days as it is usful for finding accomedation but i have a question where we should stay untill we get accomidation as i have no relatives there.only me and my friend (if visa granted to him) would coming there. so as soon as reach there where we should we live

You can put up at a Hotel for a day or two and look and finalise accommodation from there. Alternately many people even stay at Gurudwara. Or search for accommodation online and finalise it from here itself and make the payment for the same and move in once you are there. (but the previous method is more recommended)

Staying there is not religion biased buddy. Its only a matter of room availability and you might find some other students putting up there as well. Although I am not sure if they will charge something or not, but if they do it will be minimal possible charge, like in India its around Rs. 100 or Rs. 50 a day and these charges goes as a donation into langar and other donation purposes.

You can do that only once you are there. Also they usually have a good number of rooms so it shouldn't be a problem. Also there are good number of Gurudwaras there.

Book ticket of around 20th December if you haven't already, it will give you sufficient time to arrange for accommodation, getting acquainted with the weather and make any other arrangements if necessary.

thankyou for the members

congratulations .. :D

Check http://www.hostelbookers.com as well. The offer hostels and Inns for temporary accommodation, I found it to be cheaper than hotels.
