Hi
Anyone please if you came across a similar situation, I'm struggling for a firm answer!!

I have a 10-year TRV (visitor), and, also applying for the FSW-Express Entry. According to my timelines, everything is completed and I'm due for CoPR & PR visa passport request anytime!!
While this is good news, I'm actually worried about the PR visa stamp step, and I would like to do a virtual landing due to certain personal issues. I realized this is a common thing in the spouse sponsorship section, so I am posting my inquiry here.

Due to personal circumstances outside my control, my best option is to go to Canada as a visitor very soon (enter as a visitor), and claim CoPR/PR after landing using the virtual landing process. Is it a smooth process or am I gonna be questioned/denied entry?

Any helpful information/experience is appreciated!!

Shouldn' be any problem - although again, I'd ask in the express entry sections.

Note though: it may end up taking longer, b/c timelines for them to organize virtual landings are less predictable. Whereas if you get the passport request outside of Canada, in most places it's a couple of weeks. So it may end up delaying when you could work.

There is never any guarantee that you’ll be able to enter Canada. Looks like you’ve been in the US. For how long and were you working or studying there? What ties do you have to your home country? Will you be able to show sufficient funds to support yourself for many months while you wait for landing? If you are able to enter Canada and your passport isn’t stamped (giving you a 6 month stay) you’ll need to update your address to your Canadian address. The system takes a while to update do you may actually be sent a COPR. You’ll then have the option to go to a land border and exit and reenter if you have a valid B1/B2 or contact IRCC and inform them that you are in Canada and would like to land virtually. Would personally head to the land border or you could be facing up to a few months delay.
