Vienna Processing Time

Hi Guys,I have sent my paper application for study permit 10 day ago to the Embassy in Vienna.Now I know that the processing time is 4 weeks(according to the CIC website),so my question is what will be next?Will I get some kind of response on my e-mail,or should i wait for a response trough the regular mail only.Also I would like to note that I have not completed a pre medical..can that delay the application?
Please share your experiences.Thanks

Haha nope, I am from Czech Republic, but our embassy was closed since there is no huge need in it, so all applications are redirected to Vienna
