Good day to all :) :)

In the last two days Vienna has replied twice to my emails about our actual start of the process (it was not clear to us because of their email informing us back in November of our new file number due to our marriage)
Just imagine 2....yes 2 emails answered promptly but at least they put my mind at ease.

In my 2nd email to them before this morning's answer I asked them about if there is a need for my wife to do another medical.
As you see they are informing me below that they will notify us in case there is a need to do them again!

Here is their answer from this morning

Dear Ms. XXXXXXX,

With reference to your below e-mail please be informed that your original application was received in April 2013 ( application as common-law partners), the file has been recreated after your marriage in November 2013 with the new file number : F000χχχχχχ
( as we informed you by our e-mail of 15 November 2013); So you can count the processing times as of April 2013.

You will be informed about the further steps in your application I due course, including medical instructions.

I can only explain their current promptness two ways. Either they are actually reviewing files (and ours too) or simply the guy or girl who is replying is a kind person and felt that he had to explain. One way or the other at least now we can sleep more easy!

Regards to all

Tom
hey my dear friend i amdoing good how is Spaska and little cute baby m, i am so happy that they replied to you and they give you morep positive ,

Hello Guys!!!

I'll give you a advice. Don't bother yourself with the processing time. You need to accept and adopt the slow motion Canadian system, otherwise you will lose your nerves. Everything is slow here. I waited for my permanent residence card 2 months and a week. I still haven't received my health card. Last week I called them and they told me that I'll get around 4th February. From that date I can use my health card. For work is same. I was to a office supported from the government for advice how to find job with my education. The woman was nice with me and told me that here if you want to find a job you need to make a network of people. Someone to recommend to someone that you are a good person, hard working..... Everything needs timeeeeeee.........
sponsor my dear friend i really agree with that , even if you get in social network with people is same, cuz nobody wants to put you on the same place where he . she is working ,
as for your health card you will received excatly 3 mohtns from the date you enter canada , doesnt matter for that this is the rules ,

Here is some info about it: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/inadmissibility/arc.asp

Not sure how long the process takes, it depends on the visa office where your ARC application is being processed.

Dear Mika,
First of all, welcome :)... Yes, this is the right spot, all Vienna applicants are here and you will see everyone is very nice and helpful.
I am married to a Serbian as well, and from my timeline you can see that we are still waiting. Today they requested some additional documents and a new medical since the 1st one expired in September. I am hoping that our wait is near the end and that we are in a final stage. We were stuck in a background check and it is probably because my husband served in the military. If your husband didn't serve, it might not take that long.
What is the fastest processing time? Hard to say. Our friend Muby, from this forum is a January applicant and received his PR last month so it was 11 months.
But don't get frustrated, there is a long wait ahead of you guys so you will have to be very patient and your love for one to another will get you through this.
Wish you all the best and good luck :)
Eva
Thank you for your response and to everyone else who responded! I am still new to this so I hope this is how you reply to messages! :) My husband thankfully didn't serve in the military so I heard the process would be shorter. People I talk to keep giving me false hope, saying "oh, two to three months and he will be here in Canada with you!". I would like that to be true but honestly, after seeing how many of you have been waiting for so long, I would rather people go ahead of me and my husband. Vienna is really not fair to everyone here, you have all been waiting so long! Do they not know that they are keeping families apart? My friend waited two years! When they call you for an interview and you have waited for a long time, that is a good sign, it means the end is near. Also, the fact that they requested another medical means that the end may be near for you too! The same thing happened to my brother! I hope you and your husband are reunited soon and I hope that everyone on this forum gets their PR as soon as possible!

thanks Mika, we are hoping it will be over soon. Don't listen to what others are saying... the bottom line is, this is a long process. Some people get processed faster than others, but the more accurate expectation at this point is at least 1 year.
The nice thing about this forum is that everyone knows what you are going through so we can all relate to each other.
I wish you a fast and smooth process. :)

Welcome to our Lovely forum Mika.

From the day Vienna Received your application which is Dec 27, 2013, you most count 13Month but this is an estimate only it can take longer but 13 month is 80% Without Interview or Additional Documents and remember that Processing time is changing or update every 3 month so it will be in 2weeks it can be down from 13 month or up to something else good luck and feel free if you had any questions to ask
I have read a lot about you and from you on this thread Muby, it seems you got your pr quickly! :) although it probably felt like forever! Me and my husband have a lot of proof of our relationship as we have been together for 3 1/2 years before marriage and 4 all together. He also never served in the army in Serbia which from reading posts I see is a good thing as the process is faster then. No problems with the law, nothing. Clean as a whistle. I am hoping he will be here soon, 13 months seems so long, they should be faster!

I have one question. Will Vienna email my husband that they have received the application for permanent residence? He hasn't heard anything.

Hi

Our files where transferred to Vienna in October and so far we have not heard a word from Vienna. I would not expect to get an AOR from Vienna.

Mika!

As you said you its look like i got my PR quickly, I guest not so much, cox back to the time when i apply processing time is 10 Month, then its jumping to 13 month and when i got the PR, Its already 11 month, any case had different issue, I was with my wife in relationship for 3years before marriege and we live together after marriage for almost 3years that means alot to proof we put anything we can to shoe them our relationship is genue and we keep being Petient like anyone from this forum, the only chance to get your PR soon if they processing time change from 13 to less then it will be otherwise Vienna are too slow. After sponsor aproval you will recieved email from CIC. While transfer his file to Vienna at that moment you ll get UCI, number for u to check his status and later on if Vienna need any dacument they will sent to him an email, be careful to check inbox and junk folder always when they sent it they wount sent it again. Good luck

Hi everyone,

I've been away for 2 weeks so I just read about 15 pages that I've missed.
First of all a welcome to all our new comers ;)

Secondly, as some of you might know, I also have a FSW running from early 2010 which is in Warsaw (which is the Vienna VO for FSW cases, they're really slowwww) they contacted me asked for a lot of updates, rights of residence fee, medical report, .... (which I can not provide them with since the time limit they have given me is way too short and besides it will take at least another 7 months till I actually get my PPR so I'm kinda not gonna do that and just wait for Vienna). My point is that I've been reading about these VOs that are really slow and apparently they are starting to show signs of improvement in the speed in which they are closing cases; so 2014 is going to be a much faster years.
