I would expect your DM to be a positive decision, and you should get your PPR very soon. How long exactly I don't know, but the fact that a decision has been made means that they are looking to finalize your application.
YES YOUR RIGHT JUST got email, that its all approved should wait for passport req
finally thanks to GODDDDD

Good Morning my friends!
I was hoping to ask some of you who hav gotten their PPR..

How long did it take to receive PPR after the background check started?

Also, how long did it take to receive your passport back after sending it?

I am wondering if I am very lucky, I may be able to come back home with my husband on April 29th. Fingers crossed!
We submitted our application on Sept 22nd, it was received in Vienna on Nov 17th. Our ECAS stayed the same up until yesterday when it changed to BACKGROUND CHECK IN PROGRESS. They sent my husband his pre arrival letter and passport request this morning! However ECAS has still not changed to decision made.

Oh Wow!! My background check changed yesterday as well! I wonder if
1. The background check does not take a long time so they just ask for Passport and do everything together

OR

2. They had already done the background check and just forgot to change the status LOL

Congratulations!

ECAS is slow to update sometimes. If he has received his passport request then you can be 99.99% sure a decision has been made.

Oh my gosh who knows. Everyone’s case is so different. Some have their ECAS change and then wait months for the passport request. For some it’s the opposite. Good luck!

Hello!

It's very possible that the background check has already been completed and they finally updated your ECAS so you might receive PPR within the next 10 business days.

As for your passport, most applicants received it back within 10-14 days and 3 weeks in some cases.

Good luck! :)

Our ECAS changed to decision made. However, my spouse has not received a letter of the final decision. The only thing he has received is his passport request and pre arrival letter. Is that strange?

If he received a passport request then the decision was positive and he is granted permanent residence.

Another question...

In the passport request letter they require a “covering letter” that states no change in address. Does this have to be a formal letter? Does anyone have an example of theirs??

may be you live out of town or country so they need right address ,in order to send back your passport back in right address
