I sent an email to Vienna in February and I only got a response this week, they took 22 days to reply back and in the past they normally responded within a few days (3-5 days) so it looks like things are really slow there.

I got the regular response "that a review of his application is ongoing" they always say the same thing , I don't even know why I email them, I guess hoping they will say something new and positive.

My husband had interview and past it but now we have to wait to get email and for him to send his pasport. Well i just found out today from lawyer that who passes the interview they get send home and that they will rmail them with the info where and when to send there passport so then can put visa in it that can take 1 - 2 months till you receive this email that just came in effect this year. No longer they give you visa on spot as they use to last

I hope soo you will get some news and good luck, keep me posted.... i never emailed anyone our proccess all together was done in 4 months now just this is left but at least he passed and got the visa so i am happy

No. Sponsor is not required Outland. I just happened to have booked a visit for our anniversary which was the day before. Was good timing. In our case it helped I'm sure to see me there and know I was there for another month long stay. They did not speak to me though.

Hi my husband was on interview same day as you Feb 23,2016 from Bosnia he got approved but they told him to go home and he will get an email to send his pasport in for visa, did you have the same or you got it on the spot?

But odd thing, we had assumed the application would then be moving on to Vienna since we live in Germany and my partner is German. However the letter says it's been forwarded to Ottawa... "This visa office was selected based on your relative’s country of nationality and the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act". Anyone had this before?

Yes, a few applicants that expected their file to transfer to Vienna VO were surprised to get Ottawa instead, I believe some people from our December Outland 2015 group, too. Ottawa is processing pretty fast these days so if I were you I would see this as a good thing. Good luck and fast processing!
