Thank you Lamja, Im tryign to stay positive, but its soo hard , its hard to explain to a 4 and 5 year old why their daddy isnt hear, all of this just makes it harder. I thought my case was straight forward I've bin married for 6 years have 2 kids with my husband we are Canadian citizens. What else is there to check . I see people are getting there PRS in 6-7 months. (and Im so happy for that, congradulations to all that didnt wait too much ) I thought my case would be like that also. .but no just because he was a police officer we had to wait a extra year and go through extra police checks and background checks (i dont see any other reason for it taking so long but that or maybe because we werent informed well and applie twice for visitors visa and stated that we want to do a inland app.. because that we what we were recomanded to do) There are no other reasons . so this all really upsets me.

did u try to order CAIPS / GCMS notes?

No, I didnt because I sent them a message and they replied that our case was in furthur background checks and that this process could take several months, that was in Feb. Then in May they said that they are still awaiting background check results, and now in July they replied to redo Police clearance. Then they will put our case back into process.

We just received the passport request! Really happy and relieved. We applied in January and received sponsor approval in March so the process was much quicker than anticipated. Good luck to all of you - it will come.

Hi Canadude. On which exact dates did you apply? We applied on January 19 and receive sponsor approval on March 24 but have not heard anything yet! Thanks!


EDIT: Believe it or not, my wife received her passport request on July 24 (last Friday) but only notice today! SHE IS CRAZY! ;D

omg am so happy for u, this is so encorageing did you check ECAS status ? and how did she received ppr mail or email ?

I checked ECAS after she told me and the status changed to them having started to review the application on July 23. The next day, passport request came via email.

Hey congratulations Boris and Canadadude!1 Im soo happy that someone is getting some good news.. and Im hoping we all soon end this waiting game, and all you future applicants have good luck with your applications and pray that the processing times go down, because this is all so stressful, and a lot of nerves are needed.

Hi to all,
My husband and I still waiting. He paseed interview in midle of December. Officer was satisfied, send him a request for second medical, in January 2015, and more paper to fill up. When we did send his application in June 2013, they asked for last ten years of his life.We are in late 40ss at that time., but year and half later they want us to tell them everything from 18 years of his life 'till today. We did send them all of that and because he participated in Yugoslavian war in 1990is, as a solder, ( they did got he's military boocklet) and ask questions during the inerview, now they wanted every detall , where , how, with whom, and so on in writing. He sended to Vienna all this in January 2015, after, all ready, 18 months of waiting. Six months later, on every our e-mail, polite, angry, they have same answer :" still waiting for background results". My MP, call, send e-mail , same to him. It is sad, depressing, hurtful to us. My Husband is Serbian, we are together 5 years, two and half married, know each other all life. He past the interview, criminal check up, medical, our marriage is real, but security not yet. He was a young man in 1990, just a solder, mobilize by army, he is not a terorist, nor the spy, or a danger to Canadian security and sociaty. Now is exactly 2 years or 24 months from the day Vienna got our application. I do not know how long is securty check up,(6 months passed) and why was done on the end not 2 years ago, and why we have waited year and a half to tell us all this.? I have ben following this forum and i saw nobody waiting as long as we do. We do not know, any more what, to do, Situation is hard on us emotioanaly, economicaly, ...We love each other more than 25 years and we will be together for the rest of our lifes, but this is insulting, discrimanatory, and I as Canadian do not know how to explain any of this, just to say it is shameful. I'm asking any of you , what i shall do next, who to address , or just seet and wait. How long more...?

AFAIK the spreadsheet isn't protected ... anybody with the URL should be able to add themselves. Also, I didn't remove anybody though, perhaps someone else removed you?

BTW, should people who were processed in Ottawa instead of Vienna be added to this spreadsheet or have a comment or something like that?

"Your immigration documentation and your passport(s) will be mailed out to you within 7 days from the date that the visa office receives your passport(s) via the same transmission method you selected."

I know the passport arrived today in Vienna, it took less than 24 hours via DHL.

I have read some posts from 2013 where people said it took 4 to 6 weeks to receive their passport back.

Does anyone have a recent experience to share?

Congrats on getting PP request!
A friend of mine got that in June and her hubby got his passport with visa within 1 week. So that's including shipping to Vienna, them putting the visa on it, and the shipping back to you ...it's very fast! All the do is make sure passport is valid and no misspelling or anything like that...they probably have visa already printed out..just to put it on password...and Voilaaaa...all done

When I brought my grandpa as a visitor...same thing...1 week is all it took! So start shopping for flights and get packing

Did your ecas change to in procces and after if it did after how long did you get your ppr?
