I'm not sure if any of you guys know about Condor airlines. My mother in law sometimes uses this airline because they have very cheap tickets North america > Europe. The only downside is they do these flights to North America only between May - October. A flight from Frankfurt to Vancouver in June costs 400 euros.

@ BumpAhead: I found flights on Condor.com from Belgrade to Calgary with a price varying from 600 - 900 dollars, depending on the routes. The cheapest ones have stops in Frankfurt and Seattle, the more expensive ones ($900) have stops in Frankfurt and Vancouver (I personally wouldn't want to have to stop in the USA). The date is June 5th and it's a one way ticket.

You can have a look here: http://www.condor.com/ibe/cfi/us/flight/search.xhtml

I've read a lot of reviews for the company and I think for the price is a good deal. They don't have fancy meals and the seats don't offer much legroom, but if you want to save money flying from Europe to North America, this is the most economic way.

FYI: Condor is a German company with its headquarters in Frankfurt am Main and they've been operating since the early '50s. The parent company is Lufhtansa Group (formerly known as Thomas Cook Group). They have 77 destinations with only 54 being year-round (that's why the ones to North America are only between May-October).

Thank you ill check it out :)

Thanks for the info....but to my understanding most of is coming from europe cant layover in the US. A Canadian PR needs a transit visa to layover. Maybe i mis-read it but looking into going to bora bora i was curious to all the stops and one was LA. And PR's need transit or temp visas to stay or connect thru the US and you have to aplly then go thru an interview. Ive flown with 2 stops and its a pain lol

From Toronto, 2 way the cheapest i ever found was $725 hehehe thats half of what u guys pay...i guess its cus u save on ur car insurance :pppp

Also what do u mean it doesnt look good at time of landing?? Should we buy a return ticket??? Even though he is coming to live here???

Maybe it doesnt apply to PR's but when you land the cbsa looks at everything including your ticket. I know people coming as tourists who have a visa dont always get let into canada.

As far as landing you need to sign some papers and confirm your address and then you have a declaration card they give you on the plane to fill out, b form or forms as an immigrant you can bring your belongings as long as you declare it. But you have to write them all down. Jewlery, clothes, personal items etc. i think they even say to have your diplomas and any documents.

Condor is a good airline. I flew with them from Frankfurt to Mexiko, Frankfurt to Las Vegas and from Stuttgart to several destinations within Europe. Meals are not worse than from other airlines but the only thing that they have to improve is TV in seats and not in the aisles.

Otherwise I can recommend them for sure and yes, they offer one of the cheapest prices in the summer. Check out Air Transat as well.
