In the letter I received it said you can let them know by emailing the office. Check the SA letter because that's where mine said everything regarding updating and such.

is there someone here from Serbia who is still waiting? I am sponsoring my husband, Vienna received our app in Nov 2012.We sent an e-mail in april to get a status update, after his military booklet was requested and they replied that the application is pending beckground checks... no word sice then.

We are fine, there is nothing special. The Blondie twin got stung by a wasp , crap it was awful :'( I do still have a head ache and a heart ache, she was crying really heavily and for really long although she is such a strong little lady :'( :'( :'(

Poor baby give her a kiss for us! the best remedy is a little mud put on the sting! It will relieve the pain and take the swell out!


Bureaucracy is what always drove me off the wall in a country! While living in Canada back in the 80's I never had to face it as it was almost non-existent. To give you an example!

January 1987 - Canada
When my daughter Elena was born in East York General Hospital the day that we were supposed to go home (discharged) they asked me to go down stairs to the hospital's administration office. A lady there handed me the birth certificate and all the necessary documents for our new born baby. I asked her if I was supposed to take these to some government agency and she replied negatively by saying that all I need is in the envelope and just take the baby home and good luck with your life.

October 2013- Greece
The same scenario starting last week. Running to the city's registrar to register the baby. That took a total of 6 hours in 3 different offices luckily for me in the same floor of our brand new city hall.
Trying unsuccessfully to communicate with my province's registrar to register the baby there, as well because Spaska is non-Greek so the baby does not get the Greek nationality automatically even though I the father is a Greek! Nice? Finally she informed me it will take a year YES a YEAR for a baby of Greek father to get the citizenship. Just because the mother is Non-Greek
Trying to get Spaska's documents issued from her country ( just a simple birth certificate and a proof of family status) so we can translated them here in Greece to get our marriage licence. Took 1 week to issue it from Macedonia and from there to Macedonian consular to be authenticated and then taken to a translator (to be translated from Macedonian - To English - To Greek ) and then taken to the Greek ministry of foreign affairs to get the Apostile stamp on it so it can be accepted by my mayor so he/she can marry us in few weeks from now. hahahahaha. Yes it is only for laughs! And the story continues I am not joking.

I am not pissed off really! I am just tired and I want to get a pill to sleep and wake up the day her COPR arrives ;D ;D But on the other hand I will miss moments off my beautiful Leto's life!

Anyone has anything from Vienna by the way?

no worries, some of us from Serbia are still waiting. I am sorry to read about your waiting time :'( My husband is sponsoring me, our files arrived to Vienna end of February, still no word from them. They are really slow this year. We are waiting for GCMS notes to arrive any day now, we have no idea about the status of our application. So it is good you know they are doing background checks on him. The bad thing is that time necessary time to do these check varies a lot but generally it takes more for men because of military, at least that is what I read. I hope you receive good news soon!

yes you are right, ours is going to take longer because of the miltary. I got the GCMS notes in August and the last entry was in April that they received the military booklet. It looked like they didn't touch it since. I hope they will start to clear the backlog. Did you look up online if they started your application yet?

Nada hope your process is almost done, if your husband was in militrary they are doing more deatils and motre backrond check , when did you send the military booklet ,
I remebreed when Vienna Told to us , if my husband was in military (thnx god he never been ) the process is going to be longer ( after we submit his document we didnt wait a lot , fotr the answwer
