Actually when i submitted my app on 29th August to Vienna, I had an idea that it would be so perfect to have an interview for my formal pr if its required on the second week of September, because I knew that the Father of the girls will be on a week holiday from work, so he can drive there...( we are still quite good friends) Its more than a 6 hour drive (Tom google map is an idiot!!!! Still shows 3 and a half hours.... To Vienna. ???) so it came true

So just keep on concentrating my friend!!! I wish the bests!!!!

on that price my dear the taxes are not included the base rate start for 500 Euro , and where is the taxes,
if you bought the ticket from Canada is less expensive cuz canada dollar is lower than Euro

Actually, I bought a return ticket 2 days ago, from Belgrade to Toronto, it was possible to find one for about 715UR, with one stop in Munich/Frankfurt/Vienna. I believe it's similar for Budapest. My husband found the same flights in Canada but it was more expensive. But when we look for his flight Toronto-Belgrade it's usually cheaper to buy them in Canada than Serbia, so it seems to me it depends on the airport you fly from. Turkish Airlines has a promotion that's true but you have to book your return in one month maximum. Still a great price! If we could just have some news Vienna please ???

When I saw some of my February thread mates getting their COPR's from Paris and other places i kept my hopes up that we will get ours soon too! Was I wrong!

Anyways now our priorities are our new babies!

Just today we were informed by our hospital OB that Aspa will be admitted to the hospital for labor induction on October 8th just a week prior to her due date. We think its all for the better. Doc's decision was based due to the fact that Aspa has gestational diabetes and high blood pressure (all were inherited during her pregnancy). So we pack our bags for hospital on the morning of the 8th and hopefully soon after we will get to meet our little baby girl Leeto!

Sanben where are you in Canada? How is the system there taking care of your pregnancy! I remember things were pretty good back in the 80's as my first daughter (previous marriage) was born there! Is this your first child? Lucky you for also having a girl. Girls are so cute in most stages of their lives. They are also very caring and loving. Boys are excellent too but it's this extra testosterone that makes them a little naughty
But children are a blessing! I am 57 and becoming a daddy again one more time! I am blessed too!

omg you guys are so close! Yeah, I think it's a good thing that they are inducing her. We are in Ottawa and it's our first child. It's scary and exciting at the same time. The system so far has been okay I guess. I've had an easy pregnancy so I can't really complain about any of it. You are usually followed by your family doctor till about 20 weeks at which point you switch to a OBGYN or a midwife.
Lots of people choose to go with midwives these days because they are more attentive to patients in general. The only downside is that you have to be out of the hospital rather quickly. It's all a matter of personal preference I guess.
I am vERY excited about having a girl though people tell me that there is always a chance that they might have made a mistake at the ultrasound and that it's actually a boy. It happened to my coworker a few years back..so I am trying to be prepared in the event it happens to us as well though I want a little girl so bad!

the COPR wait thing sucks but at least you'll have something beautiful to keep you busy. Now that the strike is over and the summer has passed things should pick up. For us last year, they started processing our file in September and if it wasn't for his medicals expiring in January we would have gotten the papers then. I remember that some people got their papers incredibly fast, while the rest of us were waiting for a while. This year, it seems like they are just overwhelmed with applications. But as soon as I heard of Berlin VO closing I knew this couldn't mean good things for us. I guess immigration and joining of the families is not a priority for the government. They are more focused on the business side of things and it certainly shows.

I totally feel for all of you, it was a tough period, but the wait was definitely worth it!
I wish you and Aspa a quick and smooth delivery and a healthy and happy baby!!!

We received your application on July 16th .... nothing more. I thought they might have put something about SA, but no.
No problem, we got it in email, so its okay. I updated our spreadsheet by the way.

If you log in with sponsor's UCI and data you will find SA info too. But you were much happier not checking it trust me, I caught myself doing it several times a day automatically, I think my hands memorized the moves and I don't think while I do it, it's not a nice habit. I think I will faint when they eventually change my status on eCAS

How long does it normally take until one can check the application status in ecas? My wife received AOR email yesterday with the UCI number and a link to check the application status online.

So far all login attempts result in an error message.

"We were not able to identify you using the information you provided."

Oh thanks Tom, it keeps me healthy I have some way better scenarios but January seems more realistic When you said I shouldn't stop dreaming I even found the distance from Vienna airport to the Embassy - around 19km. I found a bus that takes me strait there in 20min, downloaded their schedule. I think I should even have time for a coffee and Sacher torte at Schweden plats near the Embassy hahahaha So don't encourage me, I can go on and on

One scenario just for you - you go to the hospital on the 8th Oct, everything goes perfectly, you don't think about Vienna for some time which is great, you bring your girls home happier than ever, open your emails and ta daaaa... PPR for Spaska!

JJ 22, a question for you, what does your eCAS status show? If your MP says they are doing background checks you should be in process, right? I think that's great news for all of us, that you are an April applicant and they started your checks in July already. Somehow I think this year Vienna isn't so consistent with sending AORs or updating eCAS, maybe all of us will receive COPRs and eCAS will still show Application Received.

Or I am just having a good day

I kind of agree with u, I am not really convinced that Vienna was on strike cos there was no clear indication that they were. Well, now the strike is over if ever they were on strike. What I had been thinking all along was also that Vienna might be placing more priority on tourist and other TRV visas at least for now. We can only hope that they shift focus on PR visas ASAP.

Vienna wasn't on strike but I fear that bcs of the strike their officers worked on files from other offices. Anyway end of strike is a great news!

I applied on line for a TRV recently, got it in less than 2 working days. I was so happy bcs I thought Vienna was processing it but from the letter I received I realized Vienna had nothing to do with it. It seems that on line TRV apps go through centralized office in Canada, that's why it's so fast, they encourage people to send TRV apps this way, especially bcs of strike. Then you just send that letter with your passport to the corresponding office to get your visa foil.

I just think they have a huge backlog with PR applications bcs of the reorganization last year, closing of Berlin office, Belgrade office etc.
