wow vienna is really slow i rembered last year was like that we didnt have any news ,after august everybodyt start to have news or replies back from Embassy

Hungary i would recomend tell your hubby to go to immigration office and aksed what they need, if you dont have any proof before that you been a PR, and alos tell himt o go to MP , and they can email CIC to asked what they need,

I am thinking about just simply asking for a confirmation letter saying that I am not a PR and I would like to attach this to the sponsorship application as an additional document.
I am afraid this thing with getting the PR back would take tooooooooooooooo long which I want to avoid for sure.
Do you think Vienna will respond my email before submitting my app to them? Gosh I hate this stuff...

I have a problem here to solve, and I am not getting my answers from CIC. My husband will call them again but I would
like to ask you guys too.
I've been a PR in Canada when I was 9 (just turning 10). I was sponsored as a dependent on my Mother's behalf. Anyways we moved back to Hungary after 1 year and two months and never entered Canada for almost 20 years....
OBVIOUSLY I don't meet the requirements of keeping my PR status.
The thing is CIC found the record of my previous entry (which we naturally didn't hide and wrote it in the app) and NOW they sent us a letter asking me to determine my immigration status or what ever... They shared a link, which is not applicable for me, http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/travel.asp

It is for PRs being abroad. As I am NOT a PR anymore I don't see what they want me to do......

Can anybody help me? Or shall I start a topic and ask everybody?

you are right. The page they asked you to read is only concerning PR's who are abroad. As you are saying you were a PR at young age. After you and family returned to Hungary and never went back it is normal to lose the status.
But here is a case where your husband is sponsoring you and I do not see the reason why they dig into your immigration past.
Have they told your husband about this?
Maybe you can address your question to the main thread of Family Sponsorship for there are more experts to answer!

try and email to vienna , i dont know how MP is helpful where your husband is , but i know our MP is really helpful, when i had to asked something for the papers i just called them , and they email all the time Vienna to asked what do i need further to do , like when Vienna requested my hubby military i didnt know where to get this paper , because in my country Military doenst exist any miore and MP emailed Vienna and they told where to get ,
you can try and email Vienna they will respond but i dont know how long will take them to respond

Julius asked them yes, and they said they need a confirmation that I am no longer a PR.

Only now I am confused because I have to submit this IMM5524 form with a bunch of supporting documents, which will be a LOT of money again..... and it's all unnecessary because I DO NOT want to do anything with my previous status. It's lost it's over with... how long will this take :'(
So I am lost I don't know what to submit and why and where and how.... :'(

hello...i'm sorry if i asking same question over and over..but i'm freakd out..because 6 months pass by and nothing from vienna....i am in family class..PR..but also in refugge class..it is little confusing..but anyway that's not the issue.....i sent my all documents in vienna and nothing from the...what about you guys..same problem..or i am only one....

Vienna didnt approval any PR since December last year 2012 so we all waiting and hoping something will come out from them soon, just be sure your email address is correct if they need something cox wrong email can cause delay. Just relax and be Petient like all of us.

Is this true? My wife and I are just finalizing our application and since Vienna is the VO for Germany I'm kind of scared if they haven't processed any applications since December 2012?

Yes it is true. But have you got any alternatives?
just file your apps as soon as you can and don't waste your time thinking about Vienna right now. You must go through the sponsorship process that it self takes 30 days.
Worry about Vienna later ;D
