looks like they just skip the AOR stage and start working on the files right away. which is nice but considering how much work and money it takes to file an application it would be nice of them to let everyone know what is happening.

Yeah, well l I guess we can't have it all ! Lol

All Vienna applicants are not necessarily members of Canada Forums. There are at least 3 people I know from my part of the world that are not members here but their VO is Vienna and so far the two of them got an AOR.

BTW. I send a case specific inquiry to Vienna about a week ago and got back an automated reply below. So that means we are on their files......I believe ;D ;D ;D

Thank you my dear Europe. I was just thinking of you I saw my calendar and said to my self that the 5th of this month is Europe Day!
BTW. I am on an installation in Sopron a beautiful little town right in the Austria-Hungary border. I am tempted to have someone drive me back to Vienna (I will be ther of course on Tuesday boarding a plane to Greece)
Vienna is only 74klm from here and I was thinking to go and bang on the embassy door and tell them come'on guys get the things rolling for us!
What do you people think? hahahaha

Europe prepare a nice reception for your hubby with dinner and stuff and then next day take him to see Niagara Falls

do I have your timeline correct? Medicals redone on 5th February 2013 and passport requested 27th Feb?thats extremely fast since medicals have to make it to London from medical practitioner and back to Vienna (results). this sounds great

smokovnitsa you are right my husband redid his medical February 5,and of February 27 we had email from Vienna to send our passport, it was really fast because his backround checks were done, we only needed his medical to redo , i am so glad that everything is over ,

my husband background check must be over if they requested medical again. done last week on thursday, not shipped yet according to medical practitioner (on holiday).
so hopefully soon. that seems very very fast with you

yeah it was really fast once we did the medical after 3 weeks we received the passport request ,. my husband did his medical in belgrade and the doctor told him that everything is going to be all in computer ,a nd London is forwarding Vienna fast .

hope you will have some good news too, can you tell your processing time

COPR came in the mail yesterday!!!

I now see it was issued April 24. Ecas had changed to DM Saturday April 27.

I was thinking to have a happy FPD tomorrow (flagpole day), but I see that I will then need to have a PR card before I can re-enter Canada if I leave the country. I called CIC as I am planning to go back home for a few weeks. They told me if I flagpole now I will need a PR card before re-entering from Europe or I would need to apply for another document. They suggested not to flagpole and apply on re-entry. I was not aware of this and thought it might be worth mentioning here.

We got a second info request before yesterday! We redid the medicals in Montreal on March 28th but not changes on ecas. Sadly the doctor sends the medicals by regular canadapost so we have not garantee that they were delivered.
Im so tyred to be optimist, this is sad, yesterday we went with the baby to the hospital because he got a virus in the daycare, and i,m so tyred to explain everywhere that they are waiting for documents since last year!
But I,m sure that I,m not the only one in the same situation, even if there are many cases solved within 6 months.
I,m just frutrated and tired!
