Video oath ceremony reschedule

Does anyone have any experience with rescheduling? I received an email invitation to the virtual oath ceremony. I asked to reschedule since I'm currently out of Canada. Got a reply that it's going to be rescheduled.
Any idea how long it might take?
I need some advance warning to arrange a flight and child care. They ignored it (as expected) and simply replied it'll be rescheduled. The last email was sent a week before the ceremony.
I wish I knew a time frame for getting the next invitation...
Anyone has rescheduled and could tell me how it went? Thanks!

Yeah, it was quite a while back. Passed the test + interview in December. A short while after my application status changed to 'decision made', and I've been waiting ever since (I guess COVID delayed it...). Got the first invitation just over a week ago to appear a couple of days ago, asked to postpone and got approval it was rescheduled.

I only have experience with Toronto. Let them know when you are in Canada and available to take the oath. They should reschedule in within a week. Please note, this is just based on 'one' person.

I had to reschedule my virtual ceremony as I was travelling outside Canada .. During the 1st call I was suggested to notify IRCC to once I return to Canada. I did as mentioned on the call and I was rescheduled for the Ceremony within a week. This was with Toronto location as well

I received my online citizenship test invite. I am in Canada for the test duration provided, so no issue to give the test. But i am in a situation where i need to travel India because of some personal commitments just after citizenship test for couple of weeks. So i am confused what should i do, should i request for reschedule citizenship test OR should i just give the test and reschedule the oath ceremony if received invitation before i return back to Canada. few question i have are:
1. Can i travel outside Canada after Citizenship test and before oath ceremony?
2. Can i reschedule the oath ceremony with the reason of pre-planned travel if it comes before i travel?
3. Can i reschedule the oath ceremony if i am not in Canada ?
4. What would be the better option in my situation Rescheduling the citizenship test OR give the citizenship test and reschedule oath ceremony?

You would probably be waiting a few months for oath after citizenship test anyways(unless you are an urgent applicant) so better write the test now.

Thanks for your response. So my PR status still holds good after citizenship test and i can travel with my PR card after citizenship test and before oath ceremony right?

Yes. The citizenship process/application has no affect on your current status and you can surely travel on your other passport/pr status.

On a side note - India is a very high risk country right now due to covid, crime and terrorism. You should probably wait a while.

If you know the date of your return to Canada, then let them know so that they don't have to guess and you don't have to guess.

Were you able to reschedule your oath? I am in similar situation. Can we reschedule after 4 months?

You can reschedule it but you can't decide when you'll get the next one. All you can do is provide a tentative return date. IRCC will then send you another oath invitation based on the slot availability. Currently, there is a backlog for oath.

I missed my oath on Sep 15 and sent 2 emails to reschedule letting them know when I'll be back in Canada. I am still waiting for their response.

You will most likely get rescheduled between 3 to 6 months after your original scheduled time if you didn’t advise IRCC prior to your original Oath ceremony.. good luck !
