Has anybody faced a problem like me? On March 6th I was requested to send our family passports to Embassy (PPR). Our applications were approved.
I have sent our passports 9th of March to Almaty VAC, they got my documents on 12th of March and called me to make a payment for my child, which i made in couple hours.
Then they vanished! No status of our documents, calling to operator is useless since they have no idea whats going on with our docs. I called everyday and send emails during next 4 days, and after bunch of complaints to Global VFS (mainly on twitter), Almaty VAC sent me tracking ID for all documents/passports on 18th at the end of the day. However, they have not sent me ref number, which means i cannot check them in system (to check you need both tracking ID and ref number). Thank god, global vfs send me ref number through twitter.
When i checked tracking it says our documents were sent to Moscow IRCC office, however when i call Almaty call helpline, they are telling me that our documents are still in Almaty, i have no idea whats going on!
I think Almaty VAC is very irresponsible! Since they got 3 passports on 12th of march, they should process at least 2 application (mine and wife) since we passed biometrics in Almaty VAC, which means that we dont need to do any payment for us, only for my child i made a payment. ($100CAD).
Secondly, why it took them 4 days to process our documents? As call center explained me, they are not doing anything, just checking documents and send over to Moscow, however they were doing absolutely nothing for 4 days!
The worst thing is that nobody can help you with this problem, call center has no more than you know and nobody can call or talk to Almaty VAC to make clarifications (no direct email, no direct phone number). They do whatever you they want, and I think I have a full rights to know where are my documents (passports).
Now, my passports got stuck in Almaty since their office closed due to Coronavirus and processing of PPR request delayed.
Please share if you have any opinions or similar case.
