One way is to see how the VACs open/close in neighbouring countries like Sri Lanka etc. It looks like Canada Authorities wait for the cases to come down and plateau for 1-2 weeks before taking a decision. Same trend is visible in other countries where VAC got opened. Hence it should take perhaps another 2 weeks as cases are already dropping fast and we will hit the steady state on the right hand of the 2nd wave bell curve (statistics minded ppl will understand

I think that was first time dealing with the pandemic and devising solutions takes up time. This time, planning part is not there, they simply have to open the locks and get back at it!! just my 2 words... ircc is a pandora's box anyways

All these variants are bullshit. Canada should be 80% vaccinated by August, and they should allow vaccinated travellers travel, even from India.
hey , since all we can do is wait and watch then do it without worrying about these things, travel will open when it will open - may be sooner may be later, know your point of no return and get plan B ready just in case. Fingers crossed. but with the "lodge complete application before 15 may and get decision by aug 6" thing, VACs should open otherwise how will they affix visas. and only direct flights are banned not indirect -- there's still light at the end of the tunnel.
So has anyone got any response after having submitted the webform ? Any tentative date given yet to anyone ?
