Dear fellows,

My PNP Ontario application is still under processing. Once the processing is complete and I get my PNP, I would want to apply for Permanent Residency.

My question is that my marital status is single when I applied, and got my PNP. After receiving my nomination (and before applying for my PR), I want to go back to Pakistan and get married.
After getting married can I apply for PR using on the same nomination, and with my wife as a dependent (who is a Pakistani citizen)?
Will i do like that as she will be in Pakistan and I will be in Canada during this time?

Please advice

I don't believe you can, but I could be wrong with this. You have two options:

1) Contact the province sponsoring your PNP, get them to evaluate your wife and add her to the nomination
2) Wait until after you land as a PR to sponsor her marry her

I don't Understand the question. Once your PNP is approved, doesn't that give you Permanent Resident status?
(sorry, but I don't know much about the PNP).

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/hire/provincial.asp

Under the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), provinces and territories can nominate people who meet specific local labour market needs for permanent residence.

Once you get your PNP PR...couldn't you go to Pakistan to get married and then sponsor your wife under the Family Class Spousal Sponsorship program?

No - all it means is that the province has approved the nomination. The applicant still needs to be reviewed by CIC at the federal level to be approved for PR.

Ah...I wasn't aware of that. Thanks for the information.

When the OP said that he wants to apply for his PR after he gets his PNP, isn't it still basically one process, with two separate parts?

That makes sense. so, its mean, i should not marry her during my PR application process. In this way, my status will change and that will cause delay in my process. After getting PR, then i should marry and sponsor her. right?

no. these are two completely independent processes.
