I have a very unique job title. I work for the Government and they don't use those common job titles like "Systems Analyst" or "Computer Programmer". If I could translate it, it would be something like "Judiciary Technician - Specialized Support Area - IT Specialization". Yes, that big.

How am I supposed to tell CIC my job title? Should I use a common name, like "Systems Analyst", or simply translate the one used by the Government?

In the NOC detailed job descriptions, find the one that best fits your exact job. Then use that title and number. CIC cares about what your responsibilities and duties are - not what your title is. In fact, if your title matches an NOC title but your job description doesn't, they will reject you.

Thanks, dobes. I think NOC won't be a problem, because I could fit both 2171 and 2174, given the duties listed in my reference letter.
