Very Long Background check

Hello,

I am SINP nominated, since 2007

CIC asked me for police certificate and updated documents on December 2009, since that date I haven't received any response back from CIC regarding to medical tests.

The only email I received was stating that I need to be patient, I would like to ask if anyone has the same experience or know about this long background check processing time, I appreciate your time and answer.

when i applied for a student visa,( which is generally granted on same day) they did my background check and took 6 month. if they can take 6 month for single day decision, u can imagine how lengthy their process could be

Which Canadian embassy did you apply?

Was is it in Damascus?

Is anybody that have the same long background check as mine is taking?

Isn't really anybody who can give me some extra information or any answer out there? I am really worried
