Very Important Inf0 - Current Date / processed at Nova scotia Sydney

Hi Friends,

I called CIC today and the lady was kind enough to provide me all the details, she told me that currently the NS sydney office is processing application recieved on June 25th and it seems that they recieve a update from Nova scotia on the day of the application they are working on.

She also told me currently the processing time is 2 and half months, so she asked me to count 2.5 months from date of application recieved.

I was lucky to get this info as the other times when i call , these guys dont divulge some good usable info.

I think yes the average now is up to 2.5 to 3 months to get response from the CIO but still they treat each case individually, she told you that they are working on applications recieved on june 25!!! and it is not true because my application was recieved on june, 8 and most applicants whos applications were recieved at the beginning of june are still waiting, so it is impossible that they are working on 25th june applications when the earlier applications are still pending.

For the case by case this is a clear example that they process applications individually, look at , her application was recieved on june, 9 and she got her AOR on july, 28 (total of 49 days, a month and 19 days): post number 6,

By the way, her application was recieved after mine and she got her AOR and am still waiting (so i don't think that they even follow any order priority to process the applications upon recieve).

Another case, her application was recieved by the CIO on june, 1, and she is still waiting : post number 123,

The most frustrating thing is that the police clearance certificates which i made a very big efforts and paid alot of money to get them through the embassy to comply with their deadline requirments will be expired if we keep waiting like this.

When she said , they are processing june 25th , it did not mean that all application before this date were given approval/rejection.

what she meant was they have not yet opened any applications after June 25th , whereas all applications on /before this date are opened or are in process or are completed.

I hope its clear now, she also said since your application reached CIO on July 6th , they have not opened it yet as only after opening they update details in system and in my case those details were not there which she said made perfect sense.

Yes , even for more - i need to obtain PCCS again , mine is due to expire next month end

Oh i understand now, she meant that they are working on applications recieved up to june/ 25, not on june /25, that makes sense, thanks for clarification and good luck.
