hello to all.....

there is a very unique problem.. which needs solution from expert people out here....

i got my pr visa 2 months back... not yet landed...

my sister is applying for pr case.. and she seek 5 points of adaptability..

now i am not landed and my present address which is to be mentioned in additional faimly info form is of india...

so i beleive cic can reject initial app. on the basis of this point....however i will land in this month...and can provide canada address on the time of full application....

but afraid that initial app. can face rejection due to this conflict...

give me opinions please....

your sister will not get 5 points..unless you land there.

You will have to land and provide sufficient proof that you are living in Canada like utility bill in your name or tax papers which you will not have before March 2011 so better land in Canada and collect proper documentation.

Hi Singh,

As far as my understanding goes, CIC doesn't check if you qualify against the point system.

Yes, your address which your sister would have to fill in the initial application would differ after you land in Canada. Which is OK. An explanation needs to be provided when you submit the application at New-Delhi.

The initial approval process at CIC, only dictates that you are matching the NOC codes correctly, and that your responsibilities and duties explained in a way as to what they expect.

So if you think you stand a valid chance with CIC, you should apply, and try to gather on the point system in the next two months.
My suggestion - doing IELTS exam can get you a good 8 points minimum and 16 maximum. If that is not something you can do, and you are banking hard on the points of adaptability, then you might want to plan landing in Canada soon, or check if you have close relative who can help you with those points.

The reason being this, even if you land at Canada right away, your financial standing is something that would be evaluated. 2 months credit card bill, would be showing more liabilities than assets.

Check if you can gather points on the parameters apart from adaptability.

Can you show credit card bill for proof of residency?
I believe that in the US and UK, one cannot show credit card for most proof of residency.

Cell phone bill might be the same.

So make sure of these things as well. I personally believe it will be safer to wait unless you think the list of 38 is going to change soon.

Most people do say that they don't check for points at Sydney.

If she can show 67 points (by putting 16 on her language points), she might get through Sydney and if everything goes well with your landing, then she can get her PR approved at the visa office.

But you have to make sure that you get the right documentation sent to her in time. Make sure you can get that. Don't assume credit card bill and cell phone bills are sufficient. Make sure of it with someone who used those.

if u check eg7...they have given that for proof of residency u can show phone bills and credit card bills along with
PR card and COPR... thats why i am thinking so....

exactly.... that is what i am worried about.....wheather that might create any complexity...

yess...u r right... i think likewise..... but i am not sure... if they check that she is claiming 5 points from brother...and in additional faimly info form... no brother with canadian address is mentioned... then...

she completes 67 points if she gets 16 in ielts and 5 from adaptability.....

Hi Singh,

Singh Saab Do not take panga

Land First.. arrange PR CArd, SIn CArd, Credit CARds, Telphone.. then tell ur Sis to apply n take ur Points...

If she needs both 16 points for IELTS and 5 points for adaptability together to get 67 points, then she should not say she has a brother on the form. Because even if they don't look at the points, the fact is they can see she is being dishonest.

kite na fir singh wali gal . Dear frd u go their first and then ask ur sis to apply

Your sister will require below documents to prove your PR status.

Documents submitted as proof of residency in Canada must be less than six (6)
months old. Example of documents:
• income tax assessment (Canada Revenue Agency) for the relative,
• telephone bills,
• credit card invoices,
• employment documents, and/or
• bank statements

hi mr. singh. i dont know if all is applicable to all visa office with regards to adaptability requirements. I get points from my sister who landed only for about 2months in Canada. The only documents that I give to my visa office is a copy of her PR card, which was issued to her after a month of landing there and her birth certificate. I hope this helps a bit :)
